Gift Aid Declaration

I want to Gift Aid all donations made to Jamia Shan-e-Islam Welfare & Educational Centre today, and any donations I make in the future or have made in the past 4 years.

Please also apply Gift Aid to donations placed in all the Sadaqa Boxes I have returned to Jamia Shan-e-Islam Welfare & Educational Centre today, in the last four years, and to any of my returned boxes in the future.

I confirm that donations placed in these boxes are my own, and that I will inform Jamia Shan-e-Islam Welfare & Educational Centre if this is not the case for any boxes registered against my name.

I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I understand that Jamia Shan-e-Islam Welfare & Educational Centre will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

I understand that all Gift Aid claimed will be treated as unrestricted funding, meaning it will be used to fund any part of Jamia Shan-e-Islam Welfare & Educational Centre work, including administrative costs, even if the original donation is restricted.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a government scheme which allows registered UK charities to claim back the basic rate tax on donations made by UK taxpayer, who have provided a Gift Aid declaration to the charity.

For example: If you donate £1, Jamia Shan-e-Islam can claim 25p in Gift Aid, making your donation worth £1.25, at no extra cost to you.

For your donation to qualify for Gift Aid you must:

  • Be a UK taxpayer
  • Have paid at least as much in Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in that tax year as you want to be claimed in Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, have provided a Gift Aid declaration to us, and have made the donation with your own money, then it is eligible for Gift Aid.

Under UK law, certain donations are not eligible for Gift Aid, including:

  • Donations made by anyone who is not a UK taxpayer
  • Donations made through Payroll Giving
  • Donations made on behalf of someone else or a group of people
  • Donations made in return for something, such as buying a raffle ticket
  • Donations made on behalf of a business or limited company

No. One declaration will cover all your present, future and past donations.

By completing the Gift Aid declaration form, we can claim Gift Aid on your donations to us over the last 4 years, and any donations you make in the future – unless you tell us otherwise.

If you’ve changed your name or address, or your donations no longer qualify for Gift Aid due to a change in your tax circumstances, please let us know. You can call us on 077630235121, or email us on enquiries@shaneislam.co.uk

If you have recently moved to a new address or changed your name, and not informed us, please kindly complete a new Gift Aid declaration form with the updated address and name to ensure we can continue claiming Gift Aid from your donations.
